Pillar Vessel
Born from a desire to turn a tall and narrow form, the Pillar Vessel takes its inspiration from the ancient Egyptian and Grecian form known as the Alabastron, specifically modeled after the interpretation from the Attica region of ancient Greece. While the general shape and flared mouth are characteristic of this form, the exaggerated handles and dramatic cracking bring a contrasting levity to the dark and moody patination.
